I can see why Tim Hortons is one of the leaders in the fast food industry after visiting the Hyde Park location. Most stores I would go to would either have: A) service so slow that I felt like I was the one doing the 8-hour shift, or B) stores trying to achieve fast service so they would practically snatch the money right out of my hand and toss me the product. Hyde Park was a different story! I visit the store every weekend morning and I couldn't believe the amazing friendly atmosphere I was in as soon as I entered the store. Tables looking good as new, every single employee with a huge smile on their face while making the customers feel at home, employees walking up to customers and actually knowing their names, the managers patting their employees on the shoulder reminding them what a good job they were doing, I can go on all day! I recall one of the sunday mornings where a huge number of soccer kids rushed their way in into the store, creating a line out the door. While waiting in line, I quickly noticed how fast the line was moving and I figured that the employees were rudely getting rid of the kids as fast as they could. As I got closer to the counter I started noticing how every single kid in the store was getting their undivided attention and getting treated like the guest of the year! What was even more amazing was how I craving for a Chocolate Sprinkle Donut the whole time I was waiting in line. When I finally got to the front I realized that this store did not sell one of those. The baker actually came out of the kitchen and said hi to me, and he felt bad that I waited in line for a donut that they didn't have. That young baker told me to wait a minute, ran to the back of the kitchen and came out smiling with a fresh chocolate sprinkle. He customized my donut! Genius! I don't normally write reviews for fast food restaraunts but this was something that needed recognition. I would say that the Hyde Park Gate store in Oakville deserves an award for outstanding service, but that would be an understatement! -Jimmy, Oakville ..More Reviews
