Reading the reviews of people complaining about the way the owner treats his staff and customers really annowyed me, We eat frequently at Stoneys on Sundays for brunch,we are amazed at how pleasant everyone is. It is jammed with hungry patrons and still the owner and staff are calm, friendly and polite giving great service. Some people are never happy and always looking for something to complain about, People this is a place that is lively and has the great food . We rate it as excellent

Best sandwiches ever! So fresh and amazing! Unlike anything else. I personally love the calabria, but they are all so good. I have many friends who come out of town just to eat here. Just wish that the Sunday menu had all weekday items available on it as well.

The most recent experience I had at Stoney's restaurant was completely miserable because of the incredibly rude owner. You can tell he's just money hungry & treats his staff & his customers with absolutely zero respect. We we're ordering for 12 people & you could tell he was just trying to quickly get us through & over with so that he could move onto the next. There was another woman who thinks she's in the army & was shouting out orders in the most obnoxious & abrasive manner. We do not care to hear yelling throughout the entire restaurant when we are trying to enjoy our meal. We also witnessed how poorly the staff are treated & heard the derogatory fashion they are spoken to by the owner especially. It has confirmed for myself & our friends & our family, that we will never return to Stoney's restaurant again.

Great spot! Food is phenomenal ( I wish I could cook like this at home) and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. I take colleagues there all the time! Sunday brunch is almost impossible to get in, but worth the wait!

We are very proud of your restaurant because the food is really great, however last nignt it turned around to 360 degrees from great to very very poor. Last night(Feb.3)at around 600PM my wife and I brought our friends to dine with us. We came and stand to the ordering counter and while we are looking for the menu the male attendant approach and told us that we can sit because it is not busy which we did. The lady attendant came to our table and told us that we can't do that in a very rude manner and loud voice. We were so embarrassed beyond our imagination. We are a discent people and live in Oakville for more than 12 years now and work in Toronto, we don't deserve this kind of treatment. We've been dining in five star restaurant around Toronto and Oakville and we never exprienced the kind of treatment we got from your restaurant.

A wonderful spot. Fresh and tasty food offering a cornucopia of flavours for the palate. All priced very reasonably, and always accompanied by pleasant and caring staff.

Bad service. Owner is a complete snob & very rude to his staff & his customers.
Food is okay, but cafeteria style ordering and service is very cheap & tacky.

Fantastic food, great service, great location and good prices...one of the best I've been to in Ontario!

The food is excellent - breakfast on Sundays is yummy, however the table situation is dreadful. Expect to stand in a packed area waiting for one of the few tables to become available. The hosts are usually kinda rude about the whole thing too. It's also a pain when patrons sit there chatting away after their meal is done while 25 people are waiting to sit. Maybe if they offered the Sunday menu on Saturdays it would help with the demand and improve the experience.

Bloody amazing! Twice a week like clockwork. Great staff will make you want to come back and the food is out of this world. 'fine dining food for casual dining prices' -you can use that ) The very few poor reviews Stoney's has received are obviously from some sort of double agents. We're moving away and sad they can't come.

Stoney's is awesome, my husband and I go there at least once a week (I hate to cook) Brittany is the BEST !!!! Extrememly friendly staff, they all know your name (maybe cause we go so much) PLEEEEEZ bring back the ORZO pasta salad.

SUPER quality food at a SUPER fair price - considering the portions! They really put a nice spin on the everyday 'uncomplicated' fare (sandwiches/pasta/pizza)- but at the same time it's gourmet without the pretentious stuffiness of what 'gourmet' is sometimes accompanied with. Some may enjoy the microwaved rubbery chicken cutlets or the mega processed cheese from other chain establishments - but Stoney's is all about honest to goodness REAL food....makes you feel better about taking a break from the home kitchen and still providing your family with healthy meals.....try it....you'll be hooked - trust me!

I am picky, but this is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. The seating order/style takes a bit of getting used to - but well worth it.

The food is consistently fresh, delicious, quick, and cheap! Very high quality ingredients - which is nice for a change. Why someone would go to Stoney's to order a grilled cheese (as per one of the negative reviews listed here) is beyond me. I wouldn't change a thing about the options they have available.

WELL WORTH CHECKING OUT!

We frequent Stoney's VERY regularly, especially for their Sunday Brunch menu. The food and service is FANTASTIC. Regarding the negative review about the seating - the system for seating is this place your order, get your number, and then be seated. It is very fair based on the fact that people are seated in order of arrival. Being upset with the service just because you didn't get seated when you thought you should is your own issue.

The fact that it is so busy is a testament to the food and service.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh stop telling people how great this place is or it will be even more difficult to get a table. We have eaten in as well as take out. We actually now time our visits so we can get a table. Food is ALWAYS tremendous. Only complaint is the lack of a.c. on summer days. PLEASE think about opening one in Burlington.

Overated place if you ask me. People that like this food obviously don't get out much.

The food rocks! We look forward to going to Stoney's whenever we can. It is cute, family-friendly, very clean, the bathrooms are adorable (however, a baby changing station would be great) and again the food is fantastic. Keep up the great work. From One happy customer!

Best sandwiches I've ever eaten, the service is always very personable and friendly with huge smiles, those poor girls and guys work so hard to keep up with the massive lineups and fast service I don't know how they do it! To the guy who thinks he shouldn't tip here, if you watch any one of the servers for any length of time you'll see why they deserve it!
Great food, the pastas are to die for, would recommend to anyone!

Always excellent!

I have been going to Stoney's for about a year now and just love it! It is embarrasing how many times I go. I have introduced many friends and they have loved it and revist many times themselves The food is great and tasty, great flavours every selection is wonderful the pasta the pizza and the sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable my husband and I will enjoy a great meal and a glass of wine each for $40.

I have visited Stoney's twice. The first time, I really enjoyed it. The server was friendly and the food was good. The second visit however, was inexcusably bad. My negative review is completely based on the terrible service we recieved. When we arrived and saw that the restaurant was busy, we chose one of the few empty tables (they serve cafeteria style). We were then told we had to wait until we got a number before sitting. Once we got our number we were told all the tables were full, so we would have to wait for one. When we saw an empty table, we sat down. We were then reprimended by the same person for sitting in this spot because it was unavailable. We felt embarrassed and offended. We won't return. For a similar experience try Pane Fresco in Burlington. The food is better and even though they too are busy, they are always great hosts. To this server Please and thankyou go a long way.

I'd eat at Stoney's everyday! The pasta is fabulous!

absolutely delicious!

The pizza was amazing, thin crust lots of toppings and great flovour. I will be back often. My wife had the pasta and said it was one of the best dishes she ever had. I had no idea this little jem existed. Price's were very reasonable. Pat one of the servers was very helpfull. Hope they can keep up the quality.

Always excellent, never disappointed when I go here!

My boyfriend and I are frequent visitors to this establishment, however after many, many, MANY times ordering our usual I decided to try something a bit different. I was feeling like a grilled cheese sandwich, you know the kind your mum used to make on rainy days? After specifying that I would just like the cheese on the bread, you can imagine how shocked I was to find a tomato, spinach and olive paste on my sandwich. On top of all of that, the bread appeared to be toasted however, by the time it got to me, it was completely soggy and dripping (as I am sure you can imagine, after putting a whole tomato cut in half, on a toasted sandwich.) I guess I more disappointed then anything. Here I am the customer, looking for some relatively easy to prepare requiring only cheese and bread and willing to pay full price, only to have wished that I had grabbed a bag of wonderbread and a cheese slice and made it at home for about 1/4 of the price. Guess this shows you shouldn't sway from your usual.

Food is awesome, location is perfect, but Tiffany's beautiful smile, uplifting attitude, and exceed the customer's expectations ethic is what makes it a pleasure to eat there.

excellent food at low low prices

We went there for the first time today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When the lady at the cash counter realised it was our maiden trip, she went the extra distance to help us with our choices. The rest of the staff were efficient but lacked genuine warmth - which seemed a slight contradiction to the ambience.

Nevertheless, we will be there frequently. Great food.

2 suggestions - they could do with a kids portion on some of their choices and maybe an awning for the tables along the (out) side of the restuarant.

I can't get enough of this restaurant!! Whenevr my husbnd asks What's for dinner? I san Stoney's! It works most of the time, he loves it too!!!

I have become a frequent visitor and have never been disappointed. My daughter turned me on to this restaurant. The food is amazing. Especially the Nove a chicken sandwich.

Excellent,creative well portioned food. Fabulous salads,chic atmosphere. Delicious sandwiches with perfectly spiced and exotic condiments. Amazing prices. My only question? Why does the rest of the GTA have nothing even remotely close.

Unbelieveable value! Food is outstanding, concept is creative and allows them to keep the pricing very low. Five star food at McDonald's prices. Best value in the GTA!!!

Hmmm love the food and the environment. Dcor is hip to hood area. I especially like the congregation of young mommas that frequent the place.

A bit overpriced if you ask me considering you get your own cutlery water etc.
But overall excellent quality of food.

love the food - fresh and well presented. the only draw-back is it's difficult during lunch hour to get a table. I also don't think a tip is required if you must line up for food and get own cutlery. Having said all that, it's reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of the food. Stoney's is one of my favourite oakville restaurants.

Well presented, friendly service and great food. Sometimes difficult to find a table, but the crowds move through quickly.
