Beccofino

We had dinner last night at Beccofino and it was one of the most disappointing meals I have EVER had. The service was terrible and extremely unprofessional, the waiter was very abrupt and unfriendly. My meal was almost unedible and I received no comment when I told the waitstaff that I was very disappointed in the meal. He offered to get me another one but it was ridiculous to think that I would try another one. The atmosphere in the restaurant was uncomfortable and I will never go again.

Completely awful. Four of us ate there and no one enjoyed anything. Why? Poor quality ingredients, obviously prepared without care and a boring looking plate. On the Friday night the restaurant was half full. Service was okay - but we weren't asked how we enjoyed our meal because I assume they get many negative answers! A good candidate for Ramsay's Worst Kitchen Nightmares.

Absolutely great. Staff are very accommodating. If you are in a rush, no problem. But why rush such a great dinner.

My husband and I went on New Year's eve this past year. The food was mediocre at best. I did call the owner to let him know that we were very disappointed in the quality of the meal, considering the price (for 2 over $160). His response was

A group of us dined there on September 19, 2009, I would definetly not recommend this restaurant. The waiter was not veryfriendly and never asked us how our food was. The bruschetta was good, the calamari rings tasted burnt and the rissotto tasted like glue. We had to wait 2 hours for our main course and it was salty. For the money we paid we were not happy with the service or the dinner. I have been to much better restaurants with better service.

I really enjoyed our lunch today at Beccofino. We were not rushed to order and the waiter was both relaxed and informative. I chose the Tiger Shrimp and Scallops- delicious with a mild curry sauce that did not overwhelm the flavours of the fresh vegetables and risoto. The price was reasonable with a glass of pinot grigio. Lunch for two including the tip $60.00

If a restaurant is going to be labeled as a FINE DINING Italian establishment there is one thing you must make sure. THE FOOD IS FRESH! Being a cook myself, it did not take me long to realize that the vegetables I ate we not hand picked but rather something you would find at second rate sale. Proteins were off as if they were TRYING to achieve that taste of aged game meat, which was clearly not the case. The atmosphere was something rather significant - I sat beside my old elementary teacher!

I had a very pleasant business lunch. The food was excellent as was the service.

Very good food as well as service. Have been there in the past and have reservations for tonight as well. Would highly reccomend as one of downtown's premier places to eat. Cheers!

The the staff was incredibly helpful. They ran around the corner to pay for our parking! Unbelievable. And the food is absolutely delicious.

we went a saturday nigth and be serve by a waiter named mirko who didn't stop talking about how the tratorria il timone was good 10 years before and blablabla ,well we were going to the beccofino to eat not to hear about his souvenir ,beside , the food wasn't good at all we did order a shrimp salad who was suppose to have minth that we didn't find and a mahi mahi with risotto , the fish was off and the risotto over cook. i will not recommande this place who's suppose to be a fine dinning .
