Cucci Ristorante

I had eaten here previously at a baby shower and found the food to be excellent. We had a guest in town so decided to go there. It was a huge disappointment. On the positive side, the service was very good-our waiter certainly tried to please us. To start, we asked for brushcetta but were told that the chef does not have any tomotes- he doesnt't order tomotoes in the winter!! He asked if we wanted garlic bread..it arrived topped by loads of cheese and green onion garnish on top. What's with the pub food? The remaining dishes were just ok with sloppy presentation. I was looking forward to the panacotta dessert ($9) which I had eaten at the shower. It too, fell short of the version that I had in the summer. There were no fresh berries on top, just blobs of thick blackberrie jam....to this, the waiter when asked about fresh berries said the same thing

I've been to a lot of good restaurants but I must say, Cucci was the most enjoyable. Everything was wonderful. We had my sister's birthday there last night. There were 10 of us. We really enjoyed the food, the music, and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend Cucci Ristorante to everyone.
A bit pricy, but well worth it. We will definitely be back.

Chef Steve Rooney has left Cucci.

The food at Cucci was incredible and the service wasn't too bad....but at towards the end of our evening the staff were at the bar (including the Owner Doug) drunk, being loud and obnoxious. I will not be back.

Good atmosphere, food and service. Wine Menu leaves a lot to be desired. Can improve by offering oil vinegrette dip with hot bread at the outset (its Italian right?). After having explained on the phone that we were celebrating our 37th Wedding Anniversary, this was not acknowleded by either the maitre'd nor the owner! And NO they did not provide a complimentary after dinner drink. This is NOT Italian hospitality. It was disappointing. For special events, go elesewhere!

Went to dinner tonight - it was amazing! Recommend this restaurant 100%!
Regarding the comment about the Chef?? Is this a review regarding the restaurant and food or the Chef's resume?? And if you are going to comment on Chef Rooney's resume maybe you should have all the info before you make any comments! I've never been to the Firehall but knowing that Chef Rooney was (is) involved with them I will be taking my family this weekend for WINGS!

I totally disagree with the comments, I went and the food was amazing - the service could of been better but I found the prices reasonable. I will be returning very soon! It is a must try. It is much better than any other restaurant in Oakville!

We loved it, in all honesty we went back three times in one week. The atmosphere, the service and the food was beyond our expectations. We look forward to our next visit. Chef Rooney, my chef's hat is off to you.

A huge disappointment. Took my parents for dinner on their anniversary. Everything seemed to go wrong. Service was poor for a restaurant of this class and the (over priced) food was not to Standard either. Afraid I cannot recommend this place. There are far better in Oakville.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful except the food.
The menu seems to be based on how many exotic ingredients can be used.
But given that, the end result of dishes are quite bland.
The three dinners that this review is based on were all deemed
to be barely OK. For the prices, quite frankly not worth it.

Great restaurant!!! Amazing atmosphere...the food was spectacular! I would not pass up the opportunity to visit this place again!!!
